OUR HISTORY

Our accounting firm was founded in 1949 by L.K. Peterson.  Over the decades, many fine professionals have been a part of what is known today as Milbrett, Dauk & Co., Ltd.

Over the years we have continued to grow and improve our services and skills.  We now provide a wide range of accounting and tax services to businesses and individuals throughout the upper Midwest.

 MISSION STATEMENT

To provide all of our clients with the best accounting, tax and payroll services possible and to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction.

 VALUES

  • Always smile and be courteous
  • Listen to and understand the client's needs
  • Treat each client as the most important
  • Be the client's best advocate

In addition, we encourage our team members to give back to the community in which they live. We are proud to support the following service club organizations:

  • The Exchange Club of Mankato- A service club focusing on youth and patriotism. The national focus of Exchange Club is child abuse prevention. Our local chapter provides scholarships for graduating seniors and funds numerous causes benefiting the youth of our area. To promote patriotism, we have provided Freedom Shrines to each of our schools as well as handing out flags in local parades via a project called, Give a Kid a Flag to Wave.
  • Mankato YMCA's Y's Club- This organization is a way for us to give back to the community that we live and work in. The Mankato Y's club provides activities throughout the year to keep our children active and healthy. We work to raise money through various fundraisers in the community including our annual Corn Roast and Smash-fest Volleyball tournament in August. We are proud to be an active member in helping with the organization of these events.
  • The Marketing Association of Southern Minnesota- This is a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing and communicating marketing concepts and strategies. We can pass on these concepts and strategies to our clients to help them market and grow their business.
  • BNI- We have a network of people to connect our clients with for a variety of different services. Our local Mankato chapter meets weekly.
  • Greater Mankato United Way- The United Way improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community. Helping children succeed, strengthening and supporting families, promoting self-sufficiency and building vital and safe neighborhoods are some of the priorities of the United Way. We have several team members who participate and personally support the efforts of our local Greater Mankato United Way.
  • Sertoma- The primary service project is assisting the more than 50 million people with speech, hearing and language disorders. Sertoma also sponsors community projects to promote freedom and democracy, to assist youth and to benefit a variety of other local community needs.
